About me

Hi all,

I joined the Wikimedia Foundation because I think that knowledge is the key to independence and I believe every person has a birth given right to fulfill themselves. I feel the Wikimedia movement is unique it it's ability to make a clear and sizable impact.

My background is in resource management, partnership development and social impact consulting in the social sector in Israel and abroad. Before joining WMF, I worked at MAOZ, an Israeli organization dealing with strengthening Israel's socio-economic resilience, and previously to that I worked for 5 years at Wikimedia Israel where I was a projects and finance coordinator. I hold an MPA and a BA in government, diplomacy and strategy from the IDC.

I currently live in London, I love cooking (and eating!), have a collection of comic figures and love to tell people I used to do Thai boxing (even though I haven't done it in years).

My work

I joined the Wikimedia Foundation in November 2018, as the Event and Conference Grant Program Officer and part of the Community Resources team. My work focuses on supporting communities and affiliates around the world, in delivering impactful, mission-aligned conferences as part of the Grants Program. We seek to do that by effectively allocating the Foundation funds in the best way possible to fulfill our Free Knowledge shared vision and mission.

Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
