editHi Erinamukuta and AKibombo, and thanks for preparing this report on Wiki Loves Africa Uganda 2019. Here are my questions and comments on your report:
- I want to acknowledge your hard work in terms of expanding accessibility to Wikimedia events to a new region in Western Uganda. Your report makes it clear that you had to learn how best to reach participants in the area, for example, by using the radio to promote the competition as opposed to using social media. This is helpful information for doing outreach in the future in this region.
- How many people were able to participate in the event you ran?
- Do you have a link to the images that were uploaded or accepted as a result of this campaign?
- The report notes that a lot of submissions were rejected because of quality issues. What ideas do you have to address this challenge for future competitions or events?
- It looks like you had planned to conduct training, but were not able to. Was this due to the delays in funding, or were there other factors that prevented you from planning a training session? What would participants have been able to learn through this training?
This report is formally accepted, but please respond to my questions above when you are able. Thanks very much for your work leading the Wiki Loves Africa campaign in Uganda! I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 22:10, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
