Hi rrrocket, thanks for your report on this first edit-a-thon for the Untitled Art Society. I'm glad to hear you found a good location and that specifying a theme around women artists in Alberta worked well for participants and for identifying useful sources in preparation for the event. I had two additional comments on the report:
- In order to return funds to the Wikimedia Foundation, please follow these instructions.
- One of your goals was to Increase skills for existing editors-- what skills did you focus on in this session, or what skills did participants want to learn about (even if they were new editors?)
A: we focussed mainly on how to build a page from scratch, using previously existing pages as links to build new pages. Participants wanted to know most about how to properly cite references.
