Hello,RSharma (WMF), thank you for your comment. As instructed, I have reduced the cost of the line items; mugs, T-shirts to $250. I arrived at this cost by reducing the number of gift items proposed to our community members from 10 to 2.

We plan to spend 150$ for the birthday cake to be used for meetup with the Wikimedian community in Ibadan while each customized cupcakes for the proposed three(3) celebrities will cost $50 each.

Due to the second outbreak of COVID19 in Nigeria, the Federal Government of Nigeria has mandated the use of PPE for all in-person events to be organized in Nigeria. However, this line item was omitted from the initial budget. So, I have added it to the budget for your review. See the breakdown below:

• Branded Nose Masks (PPE)= 2.63*20= 52.60
• Hand Sanitizer for each of the participant= 2.63*20=52.60

Hello Oludegun, I have marked this proposal as not funded, and have contacted you with a supporting rationale and recommendations for future proposals concerning your goals to increase the participation of people with disabilities in Wikimedia projects and the movement at large. The main concerns were around the specific approach to prizes/gifts for event participants, a lack of a call to action in the proposed videos, and that there was not a clear connection between your goals to increase participation and the associated activities. Request for a change of decision

Hello, I JethroBT (WMF), Thank you for your prompt response.

This is coming at a very strategic time. Earlier today, I and a few members of the group in Ibadan held a meeting with some representatives of the physically challenged people in Ibadan and they are thrilled at the opportunity of this project.

We have decided to cancel the video production because of the complexity around it and focus solely on the anniversary celebration and editathon.

This will reduce the budget by half its original cost. I will appreciate if you could reconsider your decision because the target group and the growing community in Ibadan are so excited about the proposed event as this us a great opportunity to engage the physically challenged people and member of the community in the city. This is a group that is already underrepresented on Wikimedia projects.

Below is our new budget if this proposal is favorably reconsidered.
