Grants talk:Project/Rapid/L235/Stanford Wikipedia Day 2019/Report
Comments from WMF
editHi, L235, thank you for submitting such a detailed report. Even though you did not organize the follow-up events, it sounds like you have had an awesome Wikipedia Day celebration with diverse activities and fun. We appreciate your efforts put into engaging new editors and connecting them to more experienced local Wikimedians. We are also grateful for your thoughtful reflections on the reasons you had not organized the two follow-up events and on the challenges you faced regarding the excess registrations.
In regards to your remaining funds, please follow the instructions on how to return remaining funds to send the underspend to WMF. We will not be able to mark this grant complete until we receive the funds. Please let us know when you have sent it so we can inform our finance team.
Thank you again for all the exciting work you do for Wikimedia movement! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 06:44, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- @DSaroyan (WMF): Thanks! I've sent it in quite some time ago -- see my email to grantsadmin@ of July 13, 2019 (it was sent in well before that date, and I was emailing to make sure it was credited towards this). Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · enwiki) 06:48, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hi L235! I just followed-up with our Finance team to see whether the funds were received. We didn't get a reply back in July so I'm in the process of confirming with them again. Stay tuned :). Cheers, Morgan Jue (WMF) (talk) 23:19, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
