@Kaizenify: Hi Ayokanmi, and thanks for your proposal to capture photos at these two major events in Nigeria. Here are my comments and questions:

• Compensation of people's time is not an eligible expense in Rapid Grants, but I see that removing this expense will also cause the total budget to be under $500. Here are a few ideas on how this could be addressed:
  • Is there another person with Wikimedia User Group Nigeria or other volunteer who can support your work at the event? If so, we can fund their travel, accommodation, and meals.
  • If you would like to provide more time at your accommodations for the AMVCA award to support your networking with other photographers, please do so and adjust your meal expenses accordingly.
• This proposal is being supported by the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria, where you have a role related to media and photography. I believe this proposal should be an organizational grant as opposed to an individual one, but if there is a reason you are requesting an individual grant, please let me know.

• Thank you so much Jethro for the support and the response. I appreciate the suggestions listed and hence will readjust the budget immediately now to accommodate a volunteer Eukoha who will help with supports..

• I can convert it to a an organizational grant if need be; I left it as an individual grant mainly because am doing this project as my capacity as a volunteer professional photographer but very flexible to the change if better. Thanks once again. Kaizenify (talk) 20:37, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

@Kaizenify: Thanks for your revisions and response. Your proposal can be an individual grant in this case. For clarification, funded activities that are coordinated by multiple user group members, or where the user group is strongly associated with or will directly benefit from the funded activities should be considered organizational grants in the future.
