Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Jamie Tubers/Wiki Loves Africa 2019 in Nigeria
Questions from WMF
editHi, Jamie Tubers, thank you for submitting this rapid grant request. We have received a high volume of requests, which might delay our review time. We appreciate your patience and will respond to your request as soon as possible. In the meantime, we have one question:
- We noticed in your budget that you plan to give prices for first, second, and third place. Could you please specify in the budget whether these will be gift cards, vouchers, gift certificates, items, or something else? Please note that per our Guildelines and Criteria we do not permit grantees to give cash prizes in contests.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We are here to help with a successful grant application! Best regards, LSmith (WMF) (talk) 17:16, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hello LSmith (WMF).
- Thank you for pointing out that cash prizes are no longer accepted. I guess, we'd have to scrap local prizes then. Getting physical gifts and shipping them to winners can pose some logistical hassles. More importantly, it would raise the budget. I'd strike that part of the budget out now.--Jamie Tubers (talk) 01:20, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
