Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Annamariandrea/ArtAndFeminism 2017 Milano
Thanks, Annamaria and team, for this WMF Rapid Grant application. Your focus on content about experimental video games and interactive art sounds fascinating! We appreciate that you are working together with the WikiDonne group and have the support of BASE Milano, who are providing the venue for this event.
- Would you let us know about how many hours you expect the event to last? We ask because 750 EUR is at about the top end of what we normally fund for food and beverages for edit-a-thons. It would make a difference if the participants will be participating in an all day event vs. a half day event.
- It will be a good idea to keep in touch with the participants through social media platforms to help organize future events. Do you also plan to collect the names and usernames of participants so you can help them out on wiki and track their contributions?
- Would you list the usernames of the 4-5 experienced Wikimedians who are helping out with the edit-a-thon? Given the cost of the event, it might be good to get a few endorsements.
Once you respond to these questions, we should be able to have a decision for you very soon. Best, Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 19:07, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your questions Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer). Here my answers:
1) The event will last from 10:30am to 5pm. We'll offer both lunch and snack, this is why we're asking for that amount of money. Indeed the lunch will be served through a (female - to stay true to the event) catering service.
2)Yes, it would be interesting, to also see if and how people keep editing after the editathon
3) Yes, the wikipedians who will help running the event are: me (Annamaria), Yiyi, Rodidon, iopensa, FrussiWM, PasqualeSignore and probably someone else
Thanks again for your time and patience, Hope you could help us to do this.
Thanks for your responses, Annamaria. This grant is approved. Best wishes for a successful event. Winifred Olliff (WMF Program Officer) talk 17:36, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
