Hello Joycewikiwiki, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund application. The ESEAP funds regional team has reviewed your application and we have the following comments and requests:

• We appreciate your work to maintain and activate the Wikipedia Asian Month. Thanks for contributing so much energy and efforts to keep this campaign running.
• As communicated to you via email, we will make an exception this time and process this grant request. We just request that Wikimedia Taiwan leaders are not involved in the project as main co-signatory for the grant and another person from the Wikipedia Asian Month User Group is added as a co-signatory instead.

However, in all future grant requests:

• If the project or group is related or mostly supported by Wikimedia Taiwan, it should be covered by their General Support Fund request. We encourage you to talk to Wikimedia Taiwan to consider including any costs in their next General Support Fund in the future.
• If the project is partially supported by Wikimedia Taiwan, they may not serve as a fiscal sponsor. Fiscal sponsors should be independent organizations, not directly involved in the project.

• The main goal of Wikipedia Asian Month is to boost Asian content on Wikipedia. However, it seems that this project is mainly supported by Wikimedia Taiwan or community members from Taiwan. We kindly ask you to consider diversifying the organizing team and supporting affiliates of the Wikipedia Asian Month and Wikipedia Asian Month User Group. We would like to see participants from other Asian countries joining the organizing team and engaging in the User Group.
• We also want to highlight that it is important to communicate the proposal and project idea with all relevant communities or affiliates as requested in question 11. You need to add how you communicated with the community and how they endorse or support the project.
• Your proposal does not involve any costs related to NGO establishment. Did you consider these costs when submitting the application?
• Finally, Google Workspace (Google Suite) has a nonprofit program which can support nonprofit organizations from Taiwan without any costs. Please consider applying for these programs and remove any related costs from your budget. Let us know if this is possible to adjust the budget.

Thanks for the comment, will return to you ASAP.

However, October 9 to 10 (last Monday and Tuesday) was National Day (public holiday in Taiwan), which does not count as business day for us...

Would it be possible to postpone the deadline for a few days? maybe next October 17, Tuesday.

• 在Fluxx系統上，已移除Reke作為第二簽署及聯絡人，另由當前也有在一起協助亞洲月的用戶NHC作為co-signatory.
• 有關亞洲月是否納入本維基媒體台灣未來一班支持基金的提議，並不在當前的規劃當中，一部分由於亞洲月賽事的執行時段，另外維基媒體台灣的目的是在這短暫的期間扶植亞洲月社群得以自行運作，因此若納入台灣分會的一般社群基金，將會導致亞洲月用戶組的執行空窗期，進而可能影響到亞洲月用戶組的資格。我們希望維持亞洲月為獨立的用戶組，暫時由維基媒體台灣作為財務代管（領導人不參與運作），直到亞洲月用戶組得以申請自己的一般基金。
• 有關懇請將組織多樣化的提議，是的，這正是目前我們在規劃的方向，在今年計畫中所提的在台灣申請新的ＮＧＯ組織，有關設立所必須章程，我們預計著重在建立國際人士的參與方式，並預計在今年12月賽事結束後，統計賽事的同時之間，將所起草的亞洲月用戶組章程草案，寄送給不同的亞洲社群，邀請給予意見。
• 而有關在台灣申請NGO組織的規費，金額非常的低，因此預計由維基媒體台灣贊助，主要資金還是在於娉任一位專職推動亞洲月的人員。
• 我們知悉Google Workspace對於非營利組織的贊助計畫，然而目前亞洲月在台灣並非正式註冊的非營利組織，所以無法申請這個補助，而維基媒體台灣本身也已經申請了，用於維基媒體台灣自身。因此當前恕無法扣除Google Suite的相關費用，直到我們預計於明年完成亞洲月登記正式非營利組織為止。
