1) Would you be able to share briefly your journey with the Wikimedia Movement and your previous experience with organising a campaign? If this is the first time running a Wikiquote article contest, what types of support (e.g. reference materials, or peer learning) would you need and are these available to you?

1) I previously organized campaign like bn:উইকিপিডিয়া:অনলাইন এডিটাথন/২০২০/রমজান in 2020, bn:উইকিপিডিয়া:অনলাইন এডিটাথন/২০২১/রমজান in 2021, bn:উইকিপিডিয়া:অনলাইন এডিটাথন/২০২২/ফুটবল বিশ্বকাপ ২০২২ in 2022, Wikipedia Day in 2023 etc on Bengali Wikipedia. Yes, it will be first time running a Wikiquote article contest. Thanks for sharing those links & offering help. I have materials and in case i need help, i can ask my fellow wikipedians who previously organized contest, as you linked.

2) Along with Bengali wikiquote's village pump, I will post about this contest on Bengali Wikipedia's village pump. We have wiki groups on facebook & telegram, i will also post there. I will also try for central notice (if meta central notice admin approve). Right now Bengali wikiquote does't have any tutorials, I will provide them. E.g. on bnwiki, i created this tutorial, I will provide similar type of tutorials with screenshot. Yes, User:খাত্তাব হাসান (current Bengali wikiquote sysop) will help me with organizing and coordinating. We will also have reviewers team who will review the articles submitted during the contest.

There is one more clarification about your proposed budget from the Regional Funds Committee.

Would you be able to share your thought process about how you derive or estimate the budget line items for a) prize b) token of appreciation for reviewer c) internet/ data for participants d) facilitation and coordination? This will help the regional funds committee develop a stronger understanding of local cost estimates.

For example, how did you estimate the unit cost? What was your point of reference? what are some assumptions behind the cost estimates that are useful to know?

@JChen (WMF), Please see the budget again, I added more details, hope it will give answer. I used other similar contest/program to get an idea what should be the estimate cost, prize, token of appreciation for reviewer, internet/ data for participants. E.g. I used Amar Ekushey Article Contest to get an idea for prize and token of appreciation for reviewer & last year's Bengali Movement Charter Ambassador Program to get an idea for internet/ data for participants. To answer about facilitation and coordination, I need to share some personal info that i don't want to say publicly. Your grant application has been approved

Congratulations! Your grant application has been approved in the amount of BDT 76,000 from 16 March 2024 to 30 April 2024. As there are three currencies listed in your grant application (budget sheet/ Fluxx/ receiving currency), I have adjusted the amount to take into account the best currency exchange rates across all three. Hope this will help with the currency trades you may have to manage to implement this grant.
