Grants talk:PEG/WM CZ/Presentation & Outreach II/Report2014-1

Thank you for this interim report. We have the following questions/comments:

  1. How do you plan to track the impact of the QR plaques? Will you watch page views for specific articles to see if the plaques are generating more traffic?
  2. Do you plan to update the editing Wikipedia book?
  3. WLM 2014: It's great that you plan to promote quality over quantity this year. Some suggestions for doing this include (1) having a prize category for the photo with the most inclusions on wiki projects (tracked by using the Glamorous Tool); (2) providing more information on how to take quality photos (See the Photo Program Resources for tips); (3) organizing photo workshops; (4) organizing associated edit-a-thons and editing workshops to help volunteers integrate their photos on wiki.
  4. Regarding the accounting discrepancy, you may absorb the extra 2,000 CZK into the grant.

We look forward to your responses. Please let us know if you have any questions. Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 15:58, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

  1. We have to say, that we counted on technology of the QRpedia, which provided in the past reliable statistics. It does not seem to work same way at the moment, so it is really difficult for ordinary users to decipher real impact. In fact we have feedback and some results only from museum of Opava. Town's HQ are usually too busy to cooperate in the long term.
  2. We do not have any plans with book for this year - we will only update short info about our chapter on the last page.
  3. Thanks for feedback - we will pass it to our WLM coordinator Míla Moudrá.
  4. Thanks. Limojoe (talk) 20:48, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
