Report Accepted edit

Thank you for the clear and thorough report. We really appreciate the effort you put into conducting surveys, gathering such great photos, and summarizing feedback from the WikiReader users. While the grant obviously benefited students in all three schools, it does not seem prudent to expand the pilot considering the technical difficulties and mobile developments worldwide. We would like to share the pilot experience with the community and encourage you to submit a blog post. Please let us know if we can be of help. Wrong questions edit

Thanks for the report but I didn't find an answer to the question I had in my mind, that is: how this initiative compares to its alternatives. In particular, I would have liked surveys to include a question on what other devices were available at the recipients' homes. For instance, if 75 % happened to have a computer without (flat) broadband, then distributing Kiwix DVDs would be a very cost-effective way to reach them without international shipping or customs (at most half dollar per DL DVD when you print thousands). --Nemo 11:06, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
