Proposed participation
editI am a member of Wikipedia Education Collaborative. In 2015, I worked on the Wikipedia Education Program related to literature and linguistics, especially for university students. I believe that Wikipedia would be an ideal teaching tool for tertiary education. I am invited to The Asian Conference on Language Learning 2017, which will be held between May 11 and May 14, 2017 in Kobe, Japan. I will give a presentation about Wikipedia being used as teaching tools for tertiary education, which is about the Wikipedia Education Program, and its feasibility and effectiveness for open education, with the Wikipedia Education Program in Hong Kong as the case study, which is related to English literature and linguistics.
Goal and expected impact
editAs a result of my talk, everyone in the audience will become aware of the possibility of using Wikipedia as the teaching tool in university. Since there will be many scholars attending the conference, I hope that the presentation will encourage them to use Wikipedia for their teaching.

Other instructions
editIt would be nice if the Foundation can arrange the flights and accommodation for me! For the registration fee and per diem, I need advance disbursement, or the Foundation can pay the registration fee to the organizer directly. At the same time, I need the Foundation to arrange the travel insurance for me.
