Proposed participation

Wikimedia Foundation, Wikimedia Mexico and the Ministry of Culture of Mexico will sign an agreement on September 30th, 2017. I want to be present in the ceremony event of signature as one of the signatories, and main manager of the project for several months.

Goal and expected impact

As a result of my attendance, I will close the first stage of a proposed project between WMF, WMMX and the Ministry of Culture of Mexico. The Ministry of Culture (Spanish: Secretaría de Cultura), formerly known as the National Council for Culture and Arts (Spanish: Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes or CONACULTA), is a Mexican government agency in charge of the nation's museums and monuments, promoting and protecting the arts (visual, plastic, theatrical, musical, dance, architectural, literary, televisual and cinematographic), and managing the national archives.

Budget breakdown

• Travel (round trip airfare from Mexico City to San Francisco): USD 407
• Accommodation: USD 85 per night x 2 nights = USD 170
• Expenses: 60 x 3 days = 180 USD

Total = 757 USD

Other instructions

• Will be better for me if WMF can book for me both travel and accommodation expenses.
