Proposed participation edit
To introduce myself, I am an active Wikipedian from English Wikipedia. I hold the credit several featured lists, featured articles, good articles and DYKs on English Wikipedia. I am also a License reviewer on Wikimedia Commons, along with several other rights on en Wiki. I am the Military history newcomer of the year for 2016 and Featured Wikimedian for January 2017. I am presently serving the Wikimedia India Chapter, as its Executive Committee member.
Coming to the event, during September, Asaf Bartov (Senior Program Officer, Emerging Communities, WMF) is conducting a series of technical trainings for existing active Wikimedians in India. The focus of the training would be extensive Wikidata training, from absolute beginner level through querying and embedding Wikidata in Wikipedia (incl. infoboxes), as well as a general tools demonstration, including Quarry. Additionally, time would be made for general Q&A ("ask me anything") to let people use the opportunity to directly ask a WMF representative anything that they have on their mind.
Goal and expected impact edit
As I am a active Wikimedian, and envision Wikidata as one of the most potential Wikimedia projects in the coming future, as it is structured and can be embedded to machines. I would like to participate one of the workshops in Pune, as the dates of the workshop in Pune are more flexible for me. I've already conducted several events from the grants by WMF, and I wish to use the training I got here, to conduct Wikidata workshops across India in future. Also I feel that interaction with Asaf would help me improve stand and understanding of the movement, which in turn would help in contributing better to the movement.

- I chose to take bus from Vijayawada to Hyderabad and then a flight to Pune, because this option is much cheaper than taking a direct flight from Vijayawada to Pune & vice versa.
