  • --Jan eissfeldt (talk) 23:11, 26 February 2013 (UTC) sensible, based on my experience
  • I think that Primary Sources Corp is a very exciting idea for combining gaming and Wikisource, building on the model established by projects like Wiki Loves Monuments and Wiki Takes Your City. I've discussed PSC with Holley and Thea at our university, and I think this meeting would be a very valuable opportunity for them to demonstrate PSC to and discuss gamification with Wikipedians, so that we can all find ways of easing the entry and retention of new editors to Wikimedia projects. -- Gaurav (talk) 21:33, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Budget breakdown edit

  • Travel: USD 400 for round-trip economy class ticket from Denver to San Francisco
  • Accommodation: USD 75 per night x 2 nights = USD 150
  • Meals and ground transportation: USD 35 per day x 2.5 days = USD 87.50

Proposed Participation edit

I have been invited to give a lightning talk at the U.S. OpenGLAM Launch event on Primary Source Corps along with my collaborator, umbrellas000, who will be presenting on a related initiative. Primary Source Corps (PSC) is a gamification project to encourage students and others to contribute primary source material from digital library collections to Wikisource. We anticipate launching the game toward the end of the year and will attend the OpenGLAM Launch to garner feedback on the beta version as well as to identify potential PSC adopters at other institutions.

Goal and Expected Impact edit

My goal is to raise awareness and increase contributions to Wikisource through adoption of Primary Source Corps game.
