I am collaborating with several entities in Oman and we will use radio, social media channels, mailing lists and TV programs to launch the editathon

Mostly yes, we will provide training sessions

by establishing a core for user group, spread awareness, engage more people and entities.

8. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

We will conduct an editathon (#WIKI4WOMEN) on the national Omani women’s day in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development. The goal is to register around 100 women’s profiles on the day of the event. A call for volunteers will be launched in August 2021 to register to take part in the editathon, and a list of suggested women that will be documented will be prepared by the team. At the end of the event, certificates will be awarded to the participants.

PhD researcher in Politics at Otago University. International Relations Specialist at Oman National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science.

Dr. Ahlam AlJahwari

An Assistant-Director of the Research and Studies Department at the National Records and Archives Authority. She holds a BA, MA and PhD in History from Sultan Qaboos University. A published author of two books (Omani Society in the 4th and 5th Centuries AH/10 and 11AD and the Guardianship of the Covenant in the First Abbasid Era), as well as many scientific papers on the history of women.

Nahla AlSalmani

A student in Environmental Biology with a wide range of transferable skills and content creation. Special interest in innovation and marketing.
