After a successful training of content creators in Lagos edition and the contest which attracted many to start contributing to Wikipedia and maximize its use. This proposed project is a product of previous content creators project in Nigeria in collaboration with Sheda House, a content creators hub based in Ibadan, Nigeria who reached out to me after the successful completion of the Lagos edition to organize similar training in Ibadan so as to expose more Ibadan content creators to Wikipedia while being the host. Ibadan is regarded as the largest city in West Africa and hence this project will therefore serve the good number of content creators around the city and served as a ripple effect for Wikipedia contributions.

  • The participants already joined the Nigeria Wikipedia content creators WhatsApp group as that will aid communications with participants.
  • We will also be promoting on social media using the already followed Instagram page

The project is 2 in 1 as it will serve as an avenue to train content creators in Nigeria about editing Wikipedia and also create a contest to ensure massive participation
