Project PlanEdit

1.単発のエディタソンやトレーニングを実施しますか、それとも何回かにわたってエディタソンやトレーニングを実施しますか?Edit

2020年4月から2021年3月の1年間に、少なくとも3回のエディタソン(各回10~20人予定)で、作家や実業家など人物記事に関するWikipedia記事の充実を目指すエディタソンを実施します。

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?Edit

We will hold at least three editathons (10 to 20 participants each) to create and develop biography articles about authors and business persons, from April 2020 to March 2021.

2.イベントをどうやってコミュニティに知らせますか?Edit

外部向けにはFacebookグループページを活用し、内部向けには、w:ja:プロジェクト:アウトリーチ/GLAMへ掲載し、参加者募集を行います。

2. How will you let your community know about the event?Edit

We will use Facebook group for outside Wikipedia, as well as w:ja:プロジェクト:アウトリーチ/GLAM for inside Wikipedia.

3.イベントをリードするベテランのウィキメディア編集者はいますか?Edit

はい。これまでも多くのウィキペディアンに参加していただきました。今後も、3名以上のウィキペディアンが参加し、イベントを開催していく予定です。しかし、会場から離れたところから参加していただくウィキペディアンには交通費や宿泊費を支出したいと考えています(1人あたり120ドル、3名計算)。

3. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event?Edit

Yes. A lot of Wikipedians have joined the same-theme event so far. Upcoming events will be held with more than three Wikipedians as well. However, we would like to support Wikipedians joining from far away from the venue for travel expenses (USD120 each, assuming three Wikipedians per event).

4.参加者は、参加に必要な、あるいは品質が高いコンテンツを寄稿するのに必要な、機材やスキルを持ち合わせていますか? 持ち合わせていない場合は、どのようにサポートするつもりですか?Edit

参加者の多くは、パソコンやデジタルカメラなどを持参して参加します。また、機材を持ち合わせていない参加者については、パソコンの貸出を検討しています。しかしながら、会場はインターネット環境が悪いことも多く、インターネット回線はレンタルする予定です。スキルは、講師に限らずウィキペディアンが丁寧に指導します。寄稿に使用するコンテンツは、図書館と連携して多くの蔵書をレンタルして作業を行います。

4.Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?Edit

Most participants will join with their own laptops or digital cameras. We are also considering to lend laptops to participants who do not have such devices. However, internet connection will be leased as venues sometimes bad at connection. As for skills, veteran Wikipedians (not limited to the lecturer) will assist carefully. In collaboration with libraries, many books will be ready as contents for contribution.

エディッタソンはこれまでも継続的に開催しており、今後も1年に2回以上は開催する方向で準備しています。参加者には継続的に参加していただいている方もおり、イベント主催者から定期的な連絡を継続しています。

5. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?Edit

This project has already hosted editathons repeatedly, and plans to host more than twice per year in future. Some participants participates continuously and the organizer keeps in touch regularly.

Many events are organized by volunteers. We will collect the participation fee from the participants and pay for the rental Wi-fi-Cellular router, venue, handouts. In case of co-sponsorship of Kanagawa Prefectural Library, we will pay for rental Wi-fi-Cellular router, distribution materials, etc.

For example, the expenses of an event we held on October 26, 2019 were as follows. Total cost per event: $230

  5. Travel expenditures and hotel: Paid by Wikipedian (Approximately $120 per person)
