Movement Strategy Implementation Grant Report
Draft

Please review the notes below before submitting your report.

Your draft implementation plan document should address the following questions clearly:

  • What movement strategy initiative or goal are you addressing?
  • What activities will you be doing to address that initiative?
  • What do you expect will happen as a result of your activities? How do those outcomes address the movement strategy initiative?
  • How will you measure or evaluate your activities? What tools or methods will you use to evaluate your activities?

To create a draft implementation plan, we recommend the use of a logic model, which will help you and your team think about goals, activities, outcomes, and other factors in an organized way. Please refer the following resources to develop a logic model:

What Movement Strategy initiative is this draft plan supporting?

  • Movement Charter: Our main goal will be to introduce the Wikipedia Libya community to the movement and its current trends and encourage them to give feedback.

What activities have you completed to produce this draft plan?

  1. Pre-Session Coordination and Engagement:
    1. April 1 - April 9: Initial outreach to the community, taking into account a three-day break for Eid. Activities included informing the community about the upcoming session and gathering initial interest.
    2. April 4: Formally invited the community members to attend the in-person session on May 4th. This invitation led to the participation of 6 community members.
  2. Expectation Setting and Community Input:
    1. April 5: Engaged the community by asking members about their expectations for the session and any questions they had regarding the Movement Charter.
    2. Strategy in a Minute Series: Daily voice message activities explaining the strategy and the Movement Charter. This included: introduction to the Wikimedia Movement and a detailed explanation of the movement's strategy and its components.
  3. Focused Discussions on the Charter:
    1. April 13 - April 23: Launched the "Charter in a Minute" series, which provided daily voice messages that broke down the Movement Charter into manageable sections. This was followed by questions to gauge the community's opinions on each section.
  4. In-Person Session Planning:
    1. Developed a comprehensive agenda for the in-person session on May 4th, starting with an engaging question to discuss the future roles that community members aspire to.
    2. Facilitated discussions on the Movement Charter, especially focusing on how it impacts emerging communities and the roles and responsibilities of volunteers.
  5. Community Feedback and Documentation:
    1. During the In-Person Session: Captured various community opinions and objections regarding the Charter's provisions, particularly those related to volunteer responsibilities and rights.
