Welcome to this project's final report! This report shares the outcomes, impact and learnings from the grantee's project.
Part 1: The ProjectEdit

- The most relevant thing that happened was my three-month block on Italian Wikipedia, from January 9th to April 9th. This stoped the grant, that I had to return the remaining funds. I only managed to finish the events that were already organized (tickets bought and AirBnb booked), WikiDonne on the road 1 at the University of Padua, and the 8 Art + Feminism 2018 and Wikigap 2018 on person edit-a-thons.
- Sometimes catering service was offered by other co-organizers (Sweden Embassy for A+F and Wikigap in Rome and Milan, Gli Uffizi Museum for A+F in Florence), so we spent less than I planned.

- Increase female biographies and topics and encourage more women to become regular contributors to Wikimedia projects.

- Increase the diversity (gender diversity, geographic, linguistic and ethnic diversity, physical and mental accessibility) by engaging more people of unrepresented groups to edit.
- We organized events in 8 cities, not only from North Italy (Milan, Venice, Padova, Turin, Venice) but also from Middle (Rome) and South (Napoli, Potenza). We consolidate collaborations with the Uffizi Museum and National Library of Naples and have laid the groundwork for future collaborations with Embassies and associations from countries of North Europe.
- Share this experience with other Wikimedians (participating in conferences, common projects, international collaboration, etc).

- No. I used 1371.29 EUR (for 9 events), so 11,680.76 EUR were remaing funds. In the half-day editathon the lunch was self-organized by the editors. In the one-day editathons, a good part of the expenses regarding the catering were covered by our partners (Sweden Embassy in Rome and Milan, Uffizi Museum in Florence etc). The reason to have unspent funds is that the grant was suspended for my 3 month block in Italian Wikipedia.

If there is interest in our themes (the perception of wikimedians on the outside is that we are a movement that does the right things) and a project is exciting, people participate willingly, even if they are not people of action. Maybe they will not contact the partners, they will not send 10 emails a day, they will not write the request, will not do expenses calculations or schedules, write reports, but they will certainly do what they know best: the Wikipedians. So, depending on the time available, they will drip the lists of articles to be written, check them for notability, will create the wiki pages, will be part of the juries, they will evaluate the articles, help the new users, they will teach the basics of Wikipedia (or any wiki project). That is, they will be ambassadors of Wikimedia projects.
This project was ideated meant a lot, not only for me (thanks to the experience gained over time, I have dealt with both the organization and the bureaucratic part of this project), but also for the grant team. We worked for 4 months just to present this project and request the grant. And after the project was selected and the grant was founded there was great happiness and why not, also pride within the group of volunteers, in our user group and even in our chapter.
After the project was selected in Dicember 2017, Jannuary 9th 2018 I was blocked for 3 month in Italian Wikipedia for using 2 exceptions (ask to experts and ask those who had previously discussed on the same article) of the rule of not pinging other users in a deletion process about niche topics like contemporary art and biotechnology. I don't blame the community for this block which stops our work, but I cannot fail to point out that this may be a dangerous precedent on which we must reflect (since it is the first time that a block arrives after the founding of a grant and not before, as usual). Because if on the one hand, the principle user blocked = no grant cannot be use in favor of a user who acts to damage projects just because he has been granted, on the other hand can be used against a user, as an excuse to return the funds to those who we do not sympathize.
