January 2018
editOn January 27th, 2018 took place at Digital Learning and Multimedia Office of University of Padua the first of 4 WikiDonne on the road editathons. Was written articles about Women in STEM fields, a very uncovered topic about women in Italian Wikipedia. Specifically were translated from English the 6 articles about ENIAC girls, among the first programmers in the world:Frances Spence (Fran Bilas), Betty Holberton (Betty Snyder), Jean Bartik (Betty Jean Jennings), Marlyn Meltzer (Marlyn Wescoff), Ruth Teitelbaum (Ruth Lichterman), Kathleen Antonelli (Kay McNulty) and Cynthia Solomon, not included, along with Wally Feurzeig, among the inventors of the programming language for children Logo. In both events we had 16 new editors.

editWikiGap and Art + Feminism 2018. In honor of the International Women Day (8 March 8th 2018) together with the Sweden Embassy in Rome we organized two WikiGap editathons, in Rome (together with Art + Feminism campaign) and Milan. In Rome, our members wrote articles in italian about swedish writers and the SWEA members wrote articles in swedish about Italian biographies Le Imprescindibili sv:Oriana Fallaci, sv:Iris Origo, sv:Tina Modotti, sv:Rita Levi-Montalcini, sv:Matilde Serao. In Milan, 12 students of University of Milan wrote about swedish women writers. On March 9th, + Feminism 2018 editathon at Uffizi Galleries to write about women and art (6 new editors). Next: Art + Feminism 2018 in Naples (17 March 2018), Venice (21, 28 March 2018 & 6 April), Turin (24 March 2018).
