1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Many lecturers and students don't believe in Wikipedia because they think anyone can edit and add everything they want because wikipedia is an open space to everyone, that's why they do not accept wikipedia as a sources for references. And another thing is that, some students and lecturers know about Wikipedia and sometimes they make their researches in Wikipedia but they always think Wikipedia is like machine generated, they think it's written by no one. And some only know about Wikipedia but they don't no anything about it's sister projects.

We plan to carry out an online and offline promotion campaign in this college in order to raise Campaign and awareness of Wikimedia projects to the students, lecturers, and the general community on how to edit and improve Wikimedia contents. We will also teach them how to use Wikimedia Projects especially Wikipedia for researches. This project will attract the attention of many staffs and students of the schools to become Wikimedians and contribute more to Wikimedia Projects.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

- My first approach is to create awareness among 40 students and staff of the college of which I am already in contact with the student Union government concerning it.

My second approach will be to organize workshops to train students and staff of the College on how to contribute and become active contributors.

My third approach will be mentorship and followership, of which follow-up/mentorship will be done via social media platforms that will be created for the sake of the project also participants will be added to existing User groups and various ongoing wiki projects. Why I think the will be effective it’s because the facilitators and organizers involve in the project are well experienced in delivering such projects.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

On the first day of the event, I and other facilitators will tour the School's premises, Academic offices and Faculties in order to explain Wikipedia and it's sisters projects as well as sharing fliers containing information about Wikipedia and it's sister projects.
