Other (please specify) It's a part of preparatory actions for Wiki Loves Earth and Wiki Loves Monuments 2024 in Uzbekistan but, they aren't included into campaigns straightly.

6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)

As a result of local campaigns of WLE and WLM 2023 in Uzbekistan we've noticed that people have participated with a large dedication uploading numbers of photographs. However, overall quality of the most of uploads were less than descent. We want to organize a test workshop in Tashkent where volunteers can study photographing and image procession at a basic levels from expierienced photographers from Russia and Kazakhstan and, maybe, then to implement these workshops everywhere across Central Asia.

Our plans include 4 3-hour workshops on 4 topics: "Basics of photograhing", "Nature photography", "Arhitectural photography" and "Image processing". All of them consist from 1 hour lecture and 2 hours practical set. It's planned to make all 4 workshops in 2 days, 2 on each day. At the end participants will get certificates provided by Youth Agency of Uzbekistan, who supports the initiative.

We're targeting for any Wikimedian in Uzbekistan, who wants to make descent quality photographs and upload them to Wikimedia Commons.

All our activities will be held in compliance with Law of Uzbekistan ЗРУ-139 from 07.01.2008 "Guarantees of child's rights".

The idea was discussed in-between the organizers of "Wiki Loves..." campaigns in Central Asia, then we've offered a participation for some of our campaigns winners and got a positive feedback on the idea.

We want to understand if this workshops will improve the overall quality of the photographs uploaded to WLE, WLM, and other campaigns and if so, we'll try to make these workshops in other locations in Central Asia.
