Part 1: Project and impact edit

1. Describe the implemented activities and results achieved. Additionally, share which approaches were most effective in supporting you to achieve the results. (required)

Full set of trainings happened. It got not as much traction we expected: for example, we've got 28 people signed up but only 18 have showed up and only 6 of them have uploaded any pictures to show their skills and to get some pesonal advises from trainers. On the other hand, all 5 trainers and organizers were fully involved in process and developed their teaching skills (for 2 of them it was first event of this type).

2. Documentation of your impact. Please use space below to share links that help tell your story, impact, and evaluation. (required)

Share links to:

  • Project page on Meta-Wiki or any other Wikimedia project
  • Dashboards and tools that you used to track contributions
  • Some photos or videos from your event. Remember to share access.

You can also share links to:

  • Surveys and their results
  • Infographics and sound files
  • Examples of content edited on Wikimedia projects

Additionally, share the materials and resources that you used in the implementation of your project. (required)

For example:

  • Training materials and guides
  • Presentations and slides
  • Work processes and plans
  • Any other materials your team has created or adapted and can be shared with others

Our training materials were only pictures from commons shown as an examples of "how to" and "how not to". We've managed to record half of the sessions, but are still processing the materials.

Part 2: Learning edit

4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)

You can recall these learning questions below: We want to understand if this workshops will improve the overall quality of the photographs uploaded to WLE, WLM, and other campaigns and if so, we'll try to make these workshops in other locations in Central Asia.

The idea of these workshops would have a long-term impact that will be understood only after WLE and WLM loal rounds. As far as I can see now by participants works in designated category, they've imroved a bit and we hope that they'll improve their works more with time.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

Workshop was organized in the public space and that was a big mistake, because we were interrupted few times and delayed once, and overall it was a very noisy environment lacking of teaching class privacy.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

Plan is to wait untill the results of the WLE and, maybe, WLM local rounds in Uzbekistan and compare the overall quality in 2024 to the quality in 2023. If it will improve, these workshops will be offered to neighbouring communities in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and, maybe, to some others.

12.2. If you have not already done so in your financial spending report, please provide information on changes in the budget in relation to your original proposal. (optional)

Due to lack of funds (somehow I've got $2,097.63 instead of $2,440.01 - seems I've been deducted twice) we cut compensations to those whom it was unnesessary, leaving only childcare compensation for Islam Mirsaitov kids and nurse payment for Ekaterina Borisova's elderly mother. Also, some of the trainers used the opportunity to travel around in Uzbekistan exploring unknown objects from WLM lists - these costs were out of 2,097.63+483.55 amount and were covered of personal funds but are shown in the report to add up to the route from their locations to Tashkent. Anyway, we've overdrafted the funds even without these tickets and have spent some personal funds of organisers.
