Ondo, Ekiti and Osun State are homes to several of Nigeria's most famous landmarks and traditions, of which they are not included on the Wiki platforms because indigenes don't have the opportunity to contribute to the open knowledge platforms, so this project will give them the opportunity to learn and contribute to wikimedia projects.

The distinct goal of this project is to provide free knowledge about the people of Ondo, Ekiti and Osun State, their activities, and cultural heritage. Upon completion of our previous project in Osun State, we discovered the need to create an avenue where aborigines or native of a particular tribe to write about themselves in order to curb misinformation about their tribe, culture, tradition, and environment on Wiki platforms.

The objective of this project is to promote conscious awareness of the environment and culture, and to foster a new dimension of view of tourism as an activity that enhances human wellness, exposure, happiness, cultural integration, conflict settlement, and economic advantages, among others.

This project aims not only to create awareness and information about tourism but also to promote the importance of protecting historical sites, monuments, and artifacts. It will provide detailed information about them and give a sense of their significance. Moreover, the project will emphasize the sustainability of tourism as an activity that needs to be approached as a way of life among Nigerians especially the people of Ondo, Ekiti and Osun State. It aims to refine and maintain the activity to perform its full potential in human lives and in building a better human community.

Volunteer editors would be trained and taught the basics of editing Wikimedia projects. This will not only help to bridge the gap between aborigines and the Wikimedia community but also create a stronger sense of community awareness within the three states. A photowalk would be held in each state, and a contest would also be held immediately after the training days to facilitate and further promote the objectives of the project.
7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.

We will organize three (3) events in each state; one photowalk and two physical training and edit-a-thon. A cumulative of nine (9) events. These events will consist of training on how to edit Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikicommons. The photowalk will be to showcase the traditions and historical heritage of each of the three states on Wiki Commons. The training and edit-a-thon will improve the skill of the natives in contributing to the wiki platform.

There will be hands-on keyboard trainings where the new editors will be given the avenue to practice what they have learnt. We will create an outreach dashboard where we will assign articles to participants and also monitor their activities.

A WhatsApp group will be created where participants will be mentored after the events which will serve as a follow up on each participants improvement.
