Grants:IdeaLab/Reward for the regular contributors
What Wikimedia project(s) and specific areas will you be evaluating?Edit
Is this project measuring a specific space on a project (e.g. deletion discussions), or the project as a whole?
Odia wikipedia, commons, wikidata
Describe your idea. How might it be implemented?Edit
First and foremost the number of edits is misguiding . Number, size, completeness and relevance of articles created would give a better picture. Number and size anyone across the globe can check. Relevance may be decided by the community.
Are there experienced Wikimedians who can help implement this project?Edit
If applicable, please list groups or usernames of individuals who you can work with on this project, and what kind of work they will do.
User Name : Mkar, Aditya Mahar, Psubhashish
Acknowledgement to the volunteer would give him/her a personal satisfaction. Feeling of achievement can inspire the user to do better. New editors can look up to him for inspiration and guidance.
How would your measurement idea help your community make better decisions?Edit
After you are finished measuring or evaluating your Wikimedia project, how do you expect that information to be used to benefit the project?
Experience always given due respect . He can be seen as a leader in the community.
Do you think you can implement this idea? What support do you need?Edit
Do you need people with specific skills to complete this idea? Are there any financial needs for this project? If you can’t implement this project, can you scale down your project so it is doable?
A tool, where the community can vote an article on the relevance factor 1-5

- Volunteer There is an implementation available at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ArticleFeedbackv5 and maybe it could be checked what WikiHow is using. I endorse this idea and would be glad to help out. The difficulty is in how to moderate the content but I believe this difficulty may also be overcome if there is a plan how to do it. For example on pages with a huge number of visitors the feedback form may be shown more prominently to 1 user out of 100 while the rest only see a smaller link. And at smaller wikis the feedback form could be shown prominently to every visitor because there is not so many of them.
Perhaps the Article Feedback v5 extension may be installed on any wiki provided local consensus is achieved. Gryllida 01:11, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support However, I again see this as a possible application of my EPR system. In https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IdeaLab/Multidimensional_EPR_(Earned_Public_Reputation) I actually suggested tweaking the display of Wikipedia articles to reflect the EPR of the contributors. Another way to do it might be with color, with the strongest black when the sources have high EPR and shading to weaker colors if the source has a more dubious reputation. Perhaps even a cautionary orange for someone with multiple NPV violations, or red for someone who has had many contributions reverted for negative accuracy. Your idea actually seems to be focused on a dimension of longevity, which is actually important, though I'm not sure how to consider it within the Wikipedia context. In more general and open-ended discussion forums, I have often wished there were a maturity filter to block the fresh sock puppets. Shanen (talk) 22:49, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
