edit@Hellohappy:--Please go through the linked articles at en:Template:Wikipedia Awards. We, at en-wiki, have an impressive system of rewarding productive editors with tokens of appreciation, (of varying kind and order) and it might be helpful to your project.Winged Blades of Godric (talk) 14:58, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- i do think, we have enough tools of "appreciation" if this word means dealing out quite empty "tokens". We have, however a substancial problem of missing "appreciation" of a more material and social nature like granting additional user rights, building up a hierarchy/level system of users according to their contribution. If anonymous IP and one-purpose-accounts are in the same esteem and have the same rights and value for Wikipedia as longtime heavy contributors, there ist something very wrong. And an occasional "thank you" of a single user or a batch or my user page is so substitute for this. The problem is very real for me and is not solved by the existing possibilities. So i see much sense in this proposal. Andy king50 (talk) 19:35, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
