What Wikimedia project(s) and specific areas will you be evaluating? edit
Is this project measuring a specific space on a project (e.g. deletion discussions), or the project as a whole?
As a whole but without impacting or changing the way editors can make their edits.
Describe your idea. How might it be implemented? edit
Provide details about the method or process of how you will evaluate your community or collect data. Does your idea involve private or personally identifying information? Take a look at the Privacy Policy for Wikimedia’s guidelines in this area.
Just like a Rank system with points been awarded if editors reach a certain number of edits, with Rank title from less to more, the privileges of the editors will remain as Wikimedia or Wikipedia staff has stablished from the very beginning, just the Rank system will work as an incentive to editor to publish their edits more often and with that increasing the knowledge source in Wikimedia or Wikipedia so a more vast source of knowledge means a more healthy Wikimedia community.

If applicable, please list groups or usernames of individuals who you can work with on this project, and what kind of work they will do.

An increase in new articles, in the update of old ones subject to new data discovered, and also enrichment of the pre-existing articles also subject to new data discovered via new studies or findings always citing the sources of the new data found or the new article written.
How would your measurement idea help your community make better decisions? edit
After you are finished measuring or evaluating your Wikimedia project, how do you expect that information to be used to benefit the project?
Simply: More Knowledge and more interaction between the community in Wikimedia proving an strenghning factor in the health within the community.
Do you think you can implement this idea? What support do you need? edit
Do you need people with specific skills to complete this idea? Are there any financial needs for this project? If you can’t implement this project, can you scale down your project so it is doable?
Will of doing it and experienced people that have more than my basic knowledge of Wikimedia or Wikipedia editing if you want an Idea to succed you must have the best team possible to really reach out!

I'm a Computer Engineer, my skills are computer and network related issues, programming and my experience in Wikimedia or Wikipedia editing are pretty basic, I don't look to gain something from it but I feel in obligation that if a certain article needs to be updated I edit it or If I can add some more information to enrich the knowledge source in an article I write it down always citing my sources from reliable facts.

- I quit editing Wikipedia for several years due to burn-out from dealing with disagreeable users, and contributed to Stack Exchange sites, instead.
On WP, the only times you ever interact with other users are negative: reverts, arguing, disputes, wikilawyering, etc. It hurts morale and leads people to leave in exhaustion.
On SE, you mostly interact with other users in positive ways, by voting up their questions and answers, and every time you visit, you see your reputation increase from all the users who have found your content helpful. It's very good for morale and reminding you that your work is appreciated.
The "Thanks" feature that's been added to Wikipedia is a step in the right direction, and I've been trying to use it, but there is room for more. This sounds like it's only for edit count, which is not the best thing to measure, but it's the right idea. Combining this idea with https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IdeaLab/Allow_users_to_rank_articles_on_usefulness might be even better. — Omegatron (talk) 01:07, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- I share similar sentiments with Omegatron, about enjoying my interactions and contributions to Stack Exchange sites rather than Wikipedia these days. I even link to my Stack Exchange account from my Wikipedia user page, because I feel that it better captures my interests and enthusiasm about contributing to the world's shared knowledge than my Wikipedia activities. - Weakly Endorse this idea. I do not understand how it is different from numerous long-extant Wikipedia programs that are intended to accomplish the same goal. Please see the feedback section of this proposal for specifics of those programs, I am not entirely certain that those already existing programs are especially effective, so I would be open to this proposal if it were to specifically distinguish how it might be more effective that those other programs.
