Purpose of the report
editThis form is for organizations receiving Annual Plan Grants to report on their results to date. For progress reports, the time period for this report will the first 6 months of each grant (e.g. 1 January - 30 June of the current year). For impact reports, the time period for this report will be the full 12 months of this grant, including the period already reported on in the progress report (e.g. 1 January - 31 December of the current year). This form includes four sections, addressing global metrics, program stories, financial information, and compliance. Please contact APG/FDC staff if you have questions about this form, or concerns submitting it by the deadline. After submitting the form, organizations will also meet with APG staff to discuss their progress.

Telling your program stories - all programs
editPlease tell the story of each of your programs included in your proposal. This is your chance to tell your story by using any additional metrics (beyond global metrics) that are relevant to your context, beyond the global metrics above. You should be reporting against the targets you set at the beginning of the year throughout the year. We have provided a template here below for you to report against your targets, but you are welcome to include this information in another way. Also, if you decided not to do a program that was included in your proposal or added a program not in the proposal, please explain this change. - We encourage you to share your successes and failures and what you are learning. Please also share why are these successes, failures, or learnings are important in your context. Reference learning patterns or other documentation.
- Make clear connections between your offline activities and online results, as applicable. For example, explain how your education program activities is leading to quality content on Wikipedia.
- We encourage you to tell your story in different ways by using videos, sound files, images (photos and infographics, e.g.), compelling quotes, and by linking directly to work you produce. You may highlight outcomes, learning, or metrics this way.

edit- Global metrics are an important starting point for grantees when it comes to measuring programmatic impact (Learning Patterns and Tutorial) but don’t stop there.
- Logic Models provide a framework for mapping your pathway to impact through the cause and effect chain from inputs to outputs to outcomes. Develop a logic model to map out your theory of change and determine the metrics and measures for your programs.
- Importantly, both qualitative and quantitative measures are important so consider both as you determine measures for your evaluation and be sure to ask the right questions to be sure to capture your program stories.

Overview of this quarter
editThe purpose of this section is to provide a brief overview of this report. Please use no more than 1-2 paragraphs to address the questions outlined below. You will have an opportunity to address these questions in detail elsewhere in this report.
CHANGES: Please describe how you changed your plans and budget based on the FDC allocation approved by the Board in December 2012, and your rationale for these changes. You can then use the changed plans and budget as the basis on which to report back on the first quarter.
- In August 2013, Wikimedia Argentina was one of the organizers of the Creative Commons Global Summit. For this, Wikimedia Argentina made some expenses for the development of the event, but they will be fully reimbursed by Creative Commons International. The transfer is currently under process.
- As part of our efforts to improve communications with the general public and with the members of our movement, we decided to publish a new website (available at wikimedia.org.ar) and an annual report with the activities done by the chapter in 2012. Both projects have been included as part of the Outreach budget.
HIGHLIGHTS: What were 1–2 important highlights of the past quarter? (These may include successes, challenges, lessons learned.)
- In July 20th, Wikimedia Argentina hosted an edit-a-thon in the former illegal detention center at the School of Naval Mechanics, which is now the Space for Memory and Human Rights. More than 40 people attended the event, including long-time editors and new volunteers. Besides improving the contents on Wikipedia, the Space for Memory donated 56 images and a photographer did the same with 17 historical images.
- The Mujeres Iberoamericanas contest was closed successfully, with 35 participants and more than 1,227 new and improved articles about female personalities on the Spanish Wikipedia, doubling the number of articles from the previous edition in 2011.
- Wiki Loves Monuments was organized for the second time in Argentina and for the first time in Antarctica. More than 4,100 images were uploaded in the Argentine contest by nearly 150 participants, while the Antarctic event (hosted with the support of the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty) received 22 submisssions. For Wiki Loves Monuments, a photo safari was held in Buenos Aires and two videos were created to be used in all Latin American countries.
WIKI-FOCUS: What Wikimedia projects was your entity focused on (e.g., Wiki Commons, French Wiktionary) this quarter?
- We have focused mainly on Spanish Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, the two largest project by number of active volunteers from Argentina.
GROWTH: How did your entity grow over the past quarter vs. the previous quarter (e.g., Number of active editors reached/involved/added, number of articles created, number of events held, number of partipants reached through workshops)?
- Increase in participants at edit-a-thon: +10 participants (+30%)
- Increase in participation at Mujeres Iberoamericanas: +11 participants (+46%), +723 articles (+143% compared to 2011 edition)
- Uploaded images to Wiki Loves Monuments: aprox. 4.100 photos (-31% compared to 2012 edition)
- Wikimedia Argentina members: 9 new members, 5 members removed for non-payment and inactivity.
Financial summary
editThe FDC requires information about how your entity received and spent money over the past year. The FDC distributes general funds, so your entity is not required to use funds exactly as outlined in the proposal. While line-item expenses will not be examined, the FDC and movement wants to understand why the entity spent money in the way it did. Program 1
edit- What are the objectives of this program? Please include metrics.
- Aim: To increase participation and adoption of Wikimedia project on Educational environments (mainly secondary and tertiary education).
- Metrics: Design of an Education Program for Wikimedia Argentina to face this initiative in a more comprehensive and organic way. Also, number of agreements with institutions, number of events (workshops, lectures) organized, number of participants.
- Progress against these objectives (include metrics and # of volunteers/staff involved)?
- Education program: postponed for 2014 Q1.
- Agreements: None in this quarter.
- Events: 4 events (3 in Buenos Aires Province, 1 in Córdoba Province).
- Participants: Approx. 100 participants.
- Involvement: 1 staff member, 2 volunteers.
- Activities conducted.
- Several presentations about Wikipedia and its sister projects were conducted in the last months in different places in the Buenos Aires Province. Patricio Lorente gave two talks about Wikipedia at the University of North-West Buenos Aires; the first one in Pergamino on September 26th, and the second one in Junín the following day. He talked especially about the Wikipedia in the classroom projec, developed by Wikimedia Argentina a few years ago. Also, he gave a talk on the same topic at IberTIC in Buenos Aires, a few days later.
- A conference about copyright, open access and university was given at the National University of Córdoba (UNC) on August 29th. The presentation given by Evelin Heidel and Beatriz Busaniche was made as part of the cooperation agreement signed with the UNC.
- After a first presentation about Wikipedia was given in late June to secondary students on General Belgrano (Buenos Aires Province), a second visit was made in mid August. With the help of the local museum, the students wrote articles about their hometown and uploaded them to Wikipedia. As a result, the article about the city was greatly expanded, and that development has continued in the following months doubling its size to date [1] [2].
- What worked and what did not?
- The activities in General Belgrano has been considered as a test for following activities in the future. Although made on a small scale, the activity allowed us to evaluate some features different than previous workshops made in other institutions. Unlike previous activities, the activity was designed in three stages: a presentation about Wikipedia, the content writing (developed with the local museum) and the inclusion of that content in Wikipedia. This allowed us to have more extended and deeper content (not minor edits) and related to a topic of interest for the students. In this case, we believe it was important to find this interest (heritage and local history) and have the support of the museum to support the students between both presencial activities.
- Connectivity is still a common issue when attempting to have activities. Although in theory schools have Internet connection for the netbooks given to students by the gubernamental project Conectar Igualdad, this usually doesn't work so we have to create a mobile hotspot in the classroom so the students could upload their texts to Wikipedia. This sets out the need to find alternatives that avoid these problems; within these alternatives is the project that has been in design with the Direction of Education of the Buenos Aires Province to install local wikis in the school servers so students can write articles there and learn how to participate in collaborative platforms before moving to Wikipedia.
- Another thing to improve for these activities is to train the teachers so they can guide the students to use the special discursive mode used in Wikipedia, which significantly differs from the texts they usually write in schools. Measures such as VisualEditor have reduced difficulties of access regarding the skills needed to write, but the texts are still far from the discursive form used in Wikipedia.

Program 2

- Aim: to engage with cultural institutions and promote their cooperation with the Wikimedia communities, encouraging the release of materials under free licenses. To promote editing on Wikipedia, increasing the number of editors, and to strengthen the relationship with existing editors community.
- Metrics: Number of colaboration agreements signed, number of activities organized, number of participants attending the events, number of articles edited/photos uploaded.

- Activities: 1 edit-a-thon organized.

- On July 20th, Wikimedia Argentina organized a new edit-a-thon. In this opportunity, the event was held at the Space for Memory and Human Rights, a former detention and torture center during the military dictatorship. The event, attended by more than 40 people, including old Wikipedians and people interested to learn about Wikipedia, began with a tour of the space and then in the evening the attendants focused on improving the articles related to the location. The event generated a high level of participation in the article on the former School of Naval Mechanics and created new articles regarding the School prior to the dictatorship and the current human rights institution placed there. Space for Memory, besides supporting and promoting the activity, released 56 high-quality images about the place.
- After the edit-a-thon, we spoke with photographer Mónica Hasenberg -one of the attendees-, who has a large archive of historic photographs about the movements for the human rights' defense in the late 1970s and the 1980s. Through this contact, we managed to release 17 low-resolution historical images that illustrate this period, of which there are few pictures under free licenses.
- Jointly with the Education project conducted in General Belgrano, we began talks with the local Alfredo Múlgura Historical Museum. The archive of the museum is under a digitization process that will end in the following months. In the meantime, we have uploaded three images to Wikimedia Commons to test the uploading process so everything is ready once the files are available at the Museum.
- The digitization program has continued and more files have been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource. The Faculty of Humanities of the National University of La Plata uploaded a total of 40 files and a new agreement with the Feminaria Library (dedicated to gender studies) have uploaded more than 40 documents to Wikimedia Commons.
- What worked and what did not?
- The organization of the edit-a-thon went smoothly applying the experiences of the past activities. For this activity, the institution asked us a dossier of everything need to properly host the event and that was very useful. This dossier has been adapted to a general document that we have given to all the institutions interested in making these events so we can continue doing these activities successfully.
- The edit-a-thons, both carried out in this period and the past ones, were attended by a loyal group of active editors of Wikipedia and they have begun to actively participate in other activities. Many have sought to join as active members of the institution, for example. We believe that this kind of initiative not only reach new users but also improve the participation of current editors and revive those who have reduced their participation.
- The availability of relevant historical images from a professional photographer was a great opportunity that was presented to us. However, it was difficult to reconcile the requirements of our platforms with respect to licensing and the intentions of the professionals, so finally the agreement was quite limited. As this kind of situations will happen again in the future, we need to manage this type of opportunity better, establishing from the beggining clear conditions for participation in Wikimedia Commons and have a better answer prepared about the dilemmas regarding commercial uses and free licenses.

Program 3

- Aim: Increase and improve the content available in Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and other Wikimedia projects, whether developing existing articles, write new entries and/or produce new media. Increase the number of volunteers in our projects and foster their participation, making them more active in the community.

- For the second time, Wikimedia Argentina organized the contest Mujeres Iberoamericanas (Ibero American Women) for the creation and improvement of articles on Spanish Wikipedia about female personalities from the culture, arts, science and history of the Ibero American countries. The contest was launched on March 8th as a way to address the significant gender gap that exists on Wikipedia, not only in the number of editors but also in the contents existing on the projects. 35 participants from different countries from Spain and America participated in the contest, creating and improving more than 1,200 articles. Several images were also uploaded in Wikimedia Commons to illustrate better the participating articles. The results of the contest will be announced by the end of this year.
- Also, for the second time, Wikimedia Argentina launched the international photo contest Wiki Loves Monuments. With the cooperation of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires a new prize was created for the best picture of a monument within the city and more than 200 new monuments were uploaded to the lists, including the iconic Obelisk. New monuments were also included from Chaco, Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Misiones and Río Negro provinces. A photo safari was organized for September 29th and was attended by more than 20 participants.
- At the end of September, 4,102 pictures were uploaded to the contest from more than 140 participants. There was also an important increase in the number of monuments illustrated: after WLM 2012, 45% of the 1,881 monuments listed had a photography and now, 57% of 2,221 monuments listed are.
- A special contest was created to cover the monuments located in Antarctica. Wiki Loves Monuments Antarctica was a singular but very significant initiative, making WLM a truly global contest. For this, we contacted the Secretary of the Antarctic Treaty (located in Buenos Aires) and they decided to support us. With that support we got contacts from other Antarctic agencies to support the contest. At the end, 5 participants sent 22 images.
- What worked and what did not?
- For these three competitions, international cooperation and perspective has been key factors. In all three instances, Wikimedia Argentina could focus their efforts in activities with a local audience; however, we decided to take advantage of the opportunities of being part of a larger community so we could achive a better performance. For the editing contest, already in its first edition was evident the interest of having a contest focused on women throughout the American continent, which has been reflected in a significant number of participants coming from other countries. Fot Wiki Loves Monuments, Wikimedia Argentina produced two videos to support participation in the contest, but decided to create those works in a way that would be useful not only for Argentina but for all Latin America. Thus, the videos are in a neutral accent and talk about all the participating countries, which allowed chapters with less organizational capacity right now, as Spain or Uruguay, and groups that are not yet chapters, like Bolivia or Colombia, to disseminate the contest. Meanwhile, Wiki Loves Monuments Antarctica was always thought as a multilateral initiative, reflecting both the values of our movement and of the Antarctic Treaty. This allowed volunteers from different countries to work together, for example, to define the jury, translate the pages into languages such as French or German, etc. We believe that in a movement so geographically and culturally diverse as ours is essential to take opportunities for synergy that gives us this variability.
- The photo safari was and idea welcomed by several participants and they explained that there are a lot of people that want to take pictures in the city but are afraid to do by themselves. Then, there is a good opportunity to bring more people to Commons using this kind of activities.
- Although Wiki Loves Monuments Antarctic can be seen by some people as unsuccessful by the few resulting images, we believe that the contest met its objectives. We never thought we'd have so many pictures like other countries, especially considering it was winter season there. But we believe this was a great opportunity to open doors with institutions such as the Antarctic Treaty Secretariat, the Department of the Argentine Antarctic or the Chilean Antarctic Institute, among others, that allow us to think of cooperation projects to improve the contents related to Antarctica in the medium term.
- Despite strong dedication given to the contest, in Argentina it is impossible to ignore that we did not meet the original expectations. Instead of increasing the number of participant images, it fell by 32%, and the number of participants was also reduced from the previous year. Other chapters in similar contexts have the same problem so we think is a more systemic problem than a particular one related to this version of the contest. After these results, is vital to think about the reasons behind: external factors, depletion of the contest, poor designed advertising, etc? Already in the last Ibero American Wikimedia Summit (Iberoconf) held in October in Mexico City, there was a long debate presenting various hypothesis. Given these results, we are seriously considering what changes to do next year, which can range from adding new categories for professional and amateur participants to a complete redesign of the mechanics of the contest to make it more accessible.

Program 4

- In August 2013 the new website of Wikimedia Argentina was launched, which incorporated a radical design change, more friendly and attractive to visitors. The site was designed with a strong emphasis on news about the chapter and movement, as well as a calendar of scheduled events to encourage participation on them. Thus, Wikimedia Argentina renews her face visible to thousands of people, giving a greater sense of professionalism and dedication to our mission.
- Together with the launch of our website, we designed a newsletter that would improve communication with both partners, volunteers and people interested in chapter activities. The newsletter, with a simple and visual design, can help to communicate the most important activities of the chapter, leaving aside discussions that occur through mailing lists that can discourage participation of newcomers. The newsletter has had an important result, reaching a 39% openness index (nearly twice the industry average).
- During July, Argentina Wikimedia published its annual report, summarizing the activities realized by the chapter in the last period. Unlike previous years in which the annual report was only an object of control given to the tax authorities and the Wikimedia Foundation, this year was made with the idea of being disseminated widely to members, volunteers and institutions interested in cooperating with us.
- Much of the period was devoted to the 2014 application to the FDC, which required not only to develop the proposal but also analyze the activities carried out in 2013 and those that are pending. Several of the proposals made in the international tutoring in March were incorporated into the Association's annual plan, especially regarding community support and strategy.
- A small survey was made to the members of the Association, asking about their communications preferences, to define the best ways of contacting them and the information they really care about.
- What worked and what did not?
- The opportunity to rebuild our website and design the annual report gave us a moment to rethink the activities we do and the way we communicate them to people and institutions. Many of these definitions were outdated and reflected an ancient vision we had of the chapter. Often we generate content on the web for others to read, but then we forget them and do not update. I think this situation forced us to re-read what we had posted and analyze if it was appropriate considering the activities we do today. In many cases we had to restructure this information, incorporating new activities or reformulating those that have changed over time. One idea could be schedule to read every three or four months all the websites, platforms and documents in use, so they can be updated and not wait until someone remembers something is outdated.
- The annual report was sent to each member by postal mail. Even though it may be something considered obsolete by many people, we have received good feedback from the members. Many of them reviewed the document and discovered projects unknown to them, and also they felt recognized and relevant to the organization. I think many times the members and volunteers participate in a world where much of the treatment is only virtual, so physical actions like this can lead to considerable impact.
- The preparation of the FDC reports and the application for 2014 has been very time consuming. Although we like a high level of reportability, has been difficult to balance the time between the design of these reports and conducting the regular activities of the chapter. Although over time we have become accustomed to the process of reportability, particularly this quarter presented several high involvement activities for the staff (Wiki Loves Monuments, Wikimania, edit-a-thons, for example) so there was little space to develop new projects, innovate or evaluate.

- Aim: To promote new participation in Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, and spread Wikipedia-related knowledge in Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina.

- Leaflets produced: 500 stickers and 1,000 pins about Wikipedia and Wikimedia Argentina.
- Reach: 1,300+ manuals, 200+ Wikipedia en el aula booklets.
- Activities conducted.
- For this quarter, we focused on generate material to engage attendees to our activities, such as stickers and pins about Wikipedia, Wikimedia Argentina and Wiki Loves Monuments. All this merchandising materials have been used, for example, in the edit-a-thons, photo safari and other presentations given by volunteers and staff.
- Thanks to the cooperation agreement with the Buenos Aires Cultural Institute, 1,000 manuals about Wikipedia (printed by WM-AR in the past quarter) were distributed in the more than 500 libraries they have in the province, the largest one in Argentina with the size of Italy. This way, our projects can reach remote places within Buenos Aires that are difficult for us to visit.
- Other manual and booklets have been given to different institutions from the country. We talked with Fundación Ruta 40 (NGO teaching ICT to small rural towns near the Andes mountains) and they gave our manuals in their activities in towns of Tucumán and Catamarca Provinces and they were interested in have a more active participation of Wikimedia Argentina in the future. Also, the Wikipedia en el aula booklet in Spanish and Guaraní was given to an organization in Asunción, Paraguay, so they can spread information about Wikipedia and education within our neighboring country. Other booklets were given to organizations from Córdoba and Jujuy provinces.
- What worked and what did not?
- Wikimedia Argentina is a small organization in charge of promoting our projects in a large country (8th largest in the world), so we need to find ways to spread our mission through our mission. In this context, joining efforts with other organizations is fundamental to achieve a larger coverage within the territory.
- We need to move to a more active participation within those institutions, besides just sending them printed materials. There is space to turn them into disseminators of our projects, but we need time to strength and deepen the relationship, something we don't have at the moment. Other issue is that we are not able to evaluate how the partner institutions use the materials so we need to trust them to made a good use of the materials.

- Wikimedia Argentina is one of the two affiliated organizations of Creative Commons in Argentina. In March 2013, a group of members and volunteers of WM-AR with Vía Libre Foundation were chosen to host the bi-annual Creative Commons Global Summit in Buenos Aires, the first time a Spanish-speaking country has awarded with this event. The project was led by the group with the organizational support of Wikimedia Argentina.
- The Creative Commons Global Summit was hosted in Buenos Aires, between August 21 to 24. Member from affiliated organizations of different parts of the world and local people interested in the free knowledge joined to the different discussions hosted those days in our city. A conference by Lawrence Lessig was held on August 23 in the Faculty of Laws of the University of Buenos Aires. The event was an important opportunity to promote the use of free licences by private and public institutions and increase the number of projects about free knowledge in Argentina.
- Wikimedia Argentina provided its organizational infraestructure to support the work done by Vía Libre Foundation and their volunteers. As such, we helped in the promotion of the activity, organizing the financial transfers from Creative Commons International to the different suppliers. The cost of the conference will be fully paid by CC International and Wikimedia Argentina will be reimbursed for any expense in the coming weeks.
- What worked and what did not?
- Wikimedia Argentina, now that is an organized and professional organization, can provide support for other affiliated institutions and volunteers that want to organize projects and not getting directly involved. This way, WM-AR can continue focused in its particular mission without leaving aside other projects that we think are important but probably not part of our core or where other institutions have better way to achieve success. In this case, we didn't spend much time helping the volunteers and we only provided the organizational support they needed (for example, dealing with a bank for the wire transfer, contacting a notary or a gubernamental institution, etc). On the other side, because we weren't too much involved, we lost an opportunity to influence more in those activities where we could have had a bigger impact as Wikimedia Argentina.

Lessons learned
editLessons from this quarter
editA key objective of the funding is to enable the movement as a whole to understand how to achieve shared goals better and faster. An important way of doing this is to identify lessons learned from entities who receive funds, and to share these lessons across the movement. The purpose of this section is to elicit some of these insights, which will be shared throughout the movement. Please answer the following questions in 1–2 paragraphs each.
What were your major accomplishments in the past quarter, and how did you help to achieve movement goals?
- In our opinion, the edit-a-thon in the Space for Memory was a big success in the past quarter. It was not only a good opportunity to improve the contents regarding a very important part of the Argentine contemporary history (with new edits and new images), but also a moment to strength the relationship with our community. It was also a moment to meet new people interested in sharing their knowledge, as it was with Mónica Hasenberg and Jorge Giammatteo.
- Mujeres Iberoamericanas contest was also another success in our opinion, with an important increase in the participation (+45%) and the number of articles improved (+202%). It is a very low cost initiative, with tangible results and that can be replicated in different countries. In our case, the association with other Ibero Ameican communities has increased the impact of the contest and also has helped to reduce the gender gap present in the Wikipedia contents. A presentation about this project was given in Wikimania 2013 (slides available).
What were your major setbacks in the past quarter (e.g., programs that were not successful)?
- Although it wasn't a total setback, Wiki Loves Monuments Argentina performed below our expectations. Even though there are really good numbers in the contest (+4000 images, some of very good quality, +140 participants, etc.), we expected to increase the level of participation compared with 2012. Given these results, we should reconsider how to organize the contest. Photographic contests are a good project itself: has been proven to be attractive and fun, reaching to people that don't usually participate in Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons. But, in our opinion, the contest has several difficulties for newcomers: the uploading process (taking a picture, find the monument in the list and then upload it) is not very intuitive, using only official monuments is very restrictive (especially in those countries without a long list like European have) and most of the monuments are already covered, or at least those with easy access. We are thinking for 2014 to change some aspects of the contest or hosting a completely new one with other countries in Ibero America.
What factors (organizational, environmental) enabled your success?
- The continuing relationship between Wikimedia Argentina and various institutions has expanded the range of activities, generating more proposals for collaboration. Also having increasingly defined protocols on how to conduct this type of programs, they run smoothly and have more impact. An example of this is the realization of the edit-a-thons dossier, compiled from previous learning experiences; this document has allowed us to explain easier to a new institution what is needed to carry out when organizing such activity.
- The ability to work with other chapters and groups within the Iberocoop initiative has allowed to increase the impact of our activities, reaching a larger audience. That is why we have included a regional perspective to our work: each project is analyzed to see a possibility of reaching beyond our borders. The cooperation with other groups and communities has allowed, for example, to transfer the edit-a-thon success (gathering the previous experiences of Wikimedia Mexico) or to promote the Mujeres Iberoamericanas contest.
What unanticipated challenges did you encounter and how did this affect what you were able to accomplish?
- July and August were difficult months to execute our programs given the high level of participation of members and staff in Wikimania (on the exact other side of the world) and the vacations of the ED. Although not unanticipated, this situation reduced the work capacity of the chapter for some weeks so we have to work on how to coordinate activities to reduce the impact in our projects. We have to re-schedule some activities and coordinate with the rest of the staff and Board that was going to stay in Buenos Aires. We think we were successful trying to reduce and in future similar situations, we will have a more improved way to face this.
What changes might you make in executing your initiatives into the next quarter?
- The situation described before made us notice some problems in the way staff and Board members coordinate their activities. One of the things to improve in the future is how to coordinate, organize and schedule activities so in case someone is not available, other member of the organization can replace it without too much difficulties. We have increased the documentation about our programs but we expect than in the final weeks of the year, where the level of activities is reduced, we can do this more thoroughly and establish more protocols to coordinate and organize tasks within the chapter.
