This page is a translated version of the page GLAM School and the translation is 3% complete.

This is the home of the GLAM School project. The page is in progress, and will continue to evolve over 2022.

GLAM School is a project by AvoinGLAM to chart out, uncover, and support practices that help GLAM professionals, GLAM-Wiki volunteers, Open GLAM advocates and others to be more empowered to contribute to Wikimedia and other open projects.

In 2022 we are conducting surveys, chats, and interviews across organizations and networks involved in providing Open Access to cultural heritage. Based on the responses, we try to bring ideas into action while we go.

The interview and the survey will focus on a selection of topics. Each topic will be summarized on their individual page. All of the topics can additionally be commented on their respective discussion pages.

Interviews / chats

We will conduct at least 15 interviews with different organizations and individuals working with GLAM. It is important that the selection represents a wide geographic, linguistic, and thematic diversity.

Read and translate the survey questions

The survey questions are listed on this page. You can translate the questions to your local language and help to spread the survey in your local context that way.

Recommendations

At the end of 2022, the survey will be frozen, and the results will be aggregated into key recommendations for actions that need broader consensus or better resources.
