Participation Guide

The Deoband Yoruba Collaborative Project (also known as DYCP) is a collaborative project between the Deoband Community Wikimedia and the Yoruba Wikimedians User Group. The project aims to bridge knowledge gaps related to global Muslim academia, history, culture, heritage and scholarship on the Yoruba language Wikipedia, and document "Yoruba-related" content on Urdu Wikipedia. The project was initiated on 25 June 2022, and its first iteration was organized in July 2022.

Announcements

• The second drive of the project is scheduled to run from 10 September to 25 September 2023.

Project objectives

The primary objective of the DYCP is to help document knowledge related and envisioned by the themes associated with DCW on Yoruba language Wikipedia, and in return, help document Yoruba-related knowledge on Indic-languages Wikipedias such as the Urdu Wikipedia.
