Simultaneous editing
Too big for the Community Tech
- Problem: It has been a while since the first simultaneous editing system was presented inside MediaWiki, but currently we can't find it anywhere in WM. Edition in courses, edit-a-thons and events would be better with this system, making our work more social, collaborative and interesting.
- Who would benefit: Editors
- Proposed solution: Deploying the systems that are already developed.

Discussion
- I tend to leave messages at the talk page of the article and ping the author there to encourage them to make the edit if they want to. There I can propose new large additions or corrections also. Gryllida 22:27, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
- Just a note, it might be helpful to link to the real-time collaboration project page on MediaWiki.org where this work is being documented for further context. CKoerner (WMF) (talk) 16:40, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
- It looks like this proposal may be a solution. Am I wrong? Pamputt (talk) 21:25, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
- Way back when, someone got a en:Google Wave working for Wikipedia. I wonder if there's any interest there. --Izno (talk) 02:43, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

- Hi Sahaquiel9102 and all: Unfortunately, this proposal is too big for the Community Tech team to take on. I know that CollabPad has a great demo, but the reason why it hasn't been implemented yet is because it's really big and complicated. :) I'm going to archive this proposal; sorry to disappoint you. -- DannyH (WMF) (talk) 02:09, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
