@Johannnes89: could you please check this again? best --Christian Philipp (WMAT) (talk) 10:57, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the ping @Christian Philipp (WMAT)! We appreciate if @Manfred Werner (WMAT) creates the campaign & banner via the CentralNotice interface, once Meta:Requests for CentralNotice adminship/Manfred Werner (WMAT) is successful. It just needs approval from volunteer CN admins per CentralNotice/Usage guidelines#Policies for Affiliates and WMF Staff, but can be created & managed by yourself.
Per CentralNotice/Usage guidelines campaigns running longer than two weeks usually require community approval. Even if this is an established campaign, the unusually long duration should be discussed with the de(-AT) community.
Personally I think the duration might be ok, if the banner is running on a low impression diet and with limited traffic, in order to make sure it doesn't annoy editors (and readers) again and again for many weeks... Johannnes89 (talk) 18:40, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Johannnes89: @Christian Philipp (WMAT): I have written a notification to the community on de.wikipedia for this banner and also for the second campaign in January (CentralNotice/Request/GLAM digital spring) at Wikipedia:Projektdiskussion. As I am new to this I am not sure how to ask for approval from volunteer CN admins (I could ping some from the list of admins, but I don't know who is active). --Manfred Werner (WMAT) (talk) 12:56, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. You can create both the banner as well as the campaign via the CN admin interface. Once you link the created campaign & banner on this page, volunteer CN admins can take a look. If no-one reacts, you can ping one of the active CN admins mentioned at CentralNotice/Request, preferably (or Ciell who is not on the list, but also active and very helpful as well). I have changed the start date of the campaign in January from 1st to 7th, also talked about it with Christian. It's because I am on vacation around new year's eve and have very limited internet access in this time, so it would be difficult to act if there are issues with the banner or the campaign. --Manfred Werner (WMAT) (talk) 13:22, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The campaign settings have been set [1] and the banner created [2]. CN admins, please take a look and let me know if it is alright like this. It's the first time I created a CN. Thank you! --Manfred Werner (WMAT) (talk) 15:36, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Martin Urbanec:@Vermont: Hi, as I am new to this and also that kind of CN admin who is here in the role of a representative of an affiliate, I need and would like to ask you to take a look at the two campaigns I have set up - if they are alright (also technically, I am not sure about the close button here) and can be activated. Thank you! --Manfred Werner (WMAT) (talk) 17:37, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me. I don't see a close button in the CN interface preview for some reason, but it works in the onwiki preview [3].
Restarting the banner cycle every week effectively means users will see the banner 12 times which seems a bit much to me. I suggest either limiting it to two impressions per cycle (= 8 total impressions in 3,5 weeks) or extending the cycle a bit, e.g. to 67435200 seconds (1.5 weeks -> 9 total impressions).
