Discussion edit

Hello @EPorto (WMB):, I submitted a banner request for Wikidata's 10th birthday to run during the whole month of October. I think we can share the display between both of our campaigns, would that be OK for you? Lea Lacroix (WMDE) (talk) 06:11, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, @Lea Lacroix (WMDE)! Yes, no problem. I would only ask to keep the first week (5-12) without overlap, just so we can get momentum at the start of the contest, is that a possibility? Cheers, EPorto (WMB) (talk) 16:43, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@EPorto (WMB): Thanks! I am totally fine with that. I'll try to figure out how to make it work technically :) Lea Lacroix (WMDE) (talk) 10:43, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Central Notice admin comments edit

Copied banner to the central notice admin interface: preview (edit form for admins). --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:26, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Prepared campaign. I excluded Wikidata/Commons from it, as there is no pt version of those projects (we'd need to target geographically for those two projects I think). --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:26, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Martin Urbanec: Looks good enough to me. My concern at this point is the start deadline, already passed. Would you activate it, please? ALeoncio (WMB) (talk) 17:14, 6 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, @Martin Urbanec! I'm also one of the campaign organizers and we are concerned that the banner isn't running yet because we usually have a lot of people signing up for the contest coming through it, which is not happening at the moment. The contest started last week and it would be of a great help if you could check it, especially because this is a collective effort from different initiatives in the Lusophone community in order to approach topics of impact. Thank you! EAzzellini (WMB) (talk) 13:12, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the late reply,   Done! Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:01, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Martin Urbanec: Hi! Can I request some changes to the campaign? We found some issues that would be good to fix. I will list below:

  • Include the pt-br language.
  • Create a new version of the current banner. In the new version, where it says "prêmios de até R$ 2.500", replace it with "prêmios de até € 500".
  • Divide geographically, with the current banner being applied only to Brazil and the new banner in Portugal and the PALOPs: Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Principe and Equatorial Guinea.

I apologize in advance for the extra work. Regards, ALeoncio (WMB) (talk) 14:33, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@ALeoncio (WMB) Thanks for the message. Just to double check, do you want me to make a separate campaign, for pt-br, with a slightly different banner? Or do I misunderstand you? Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:34, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Martin Urbanec: Almost that. Keep the current campaign/banner, but make it limited to Brazil and create another campaign, with this small change in the banner, for the other countries. ALeoncio (WMB) (talk) 17:25, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, sounds good. On it! Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:39, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done @ALeoncio (WMB). Please let me know if you need any other changes! Martin Urbanec (talk) 21:46, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Martin Urbanec: Great! However I noticed that Portugal was missing from the list. ALeoncio (WMB) (talk) 22:39, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed! Martin Urbanec (talk) 07:24, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
