What is the campaign duration? January 15, 2020 → January 30, 2020 Which projects will you be targeting? Wikipedias What languages will you be targeting? We are identifying languages that are missing Key Human Rights articles (including the w:Universal Declaration of Human Rights (see the list) ) and potential a few other key topics (currently we are planning to pilot w:Convention on the Rights of the Child) but we may try this as well. We will target those languages, and major "international" languages that can offer opportunities for translating (UN Languages). Do you wish to show banners to Logged In users, Anonymous Users or Both? Do you want to target users with a specific number of edits or average monthly? Logged in Users What countries will your campaign target? We are going to do this at a global level, since it is an international campaign and there are opportunities to contribute globally -- even if the translation is already done for the local language, there is going to be an opportunity to reach . What is the purpose of the campaign? How will you measure the success of the campaign?

Description - WikiForHumanRights

Metrics - We hope to increase the number of translations of the article about the Declaration of Human Rights and Convention on the Rights of the Child -- which are core topics of consensus centrality within the international human rights space.

What banner(s) will you use? What will be your landing page?

Banners - We are working with Seddon (WMF) to develop this.

Landing Page - We will be landing folks on the https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiForHumanRights/List/Universal_Declaration_of_Human_Rights

• A global CentralNotice for translating a handful of articles? The CentralNotice is already overused, and this not a necessary use.  Oppose. (Additionally, the targets are clearly non-neutral and violating Wikimedia principles by conducting problematic public advocacy.) --Yair rand (talk) 16:27, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

  Also this is likely to cause losses to the contributor/reader bases in some languages, and might even put some Wikimedians in danger in places where the term "human rights" has a sharply negative reputation. --Yair rand (talk) 16:29, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
