Discussion
editHi,
In this community consultation around 2030 branding and strategy, the Communications team at the Wikimedia Foundation has been actively collecting thoughtful, qualitative feedback, as mentioned here. The goal is to collect feedback on this proposal for a report to the Board. This consultation concludes at the end of this month, after which the report will inform if and how we continue.
To date, our outreach has been successful. We've reached 123 affiliates (surpassing our goal of 80% of affiliates!). We've hosted many discussions with affiliates, traveled to community conferences in Bangladesh, Chile, Germany, India, and Indonesia, and Spain and collected individual contributor feedback by reaching out to more than 25 mailing lists, from over 100 unique editors on-wiki, and via various other channels. The range and depth of ideas presented has been impressive. Therefore, it seems that a Central Notice banner in the last three weeks of a more than three month long feedback period is not the best approach. This is the movement’s widest mechanism to court mass feedback, but based on what we’ve already received, we strongly believe that the mechanisms in place have achieved the consultation goal. -- ZMcCune (WMF) (talk) 22:22, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

- I closed the request because it is expired (campaign duration), and the consultation seems to be mostly done. --Steinsplitter (talk) 11:09, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
