Wikisource online contest 2020 is a contest conducted to create and correct new texts.This contest is open to all Kannada Wikimedians. Interested community members can take part in this contest or monitor the event and guide the participant.
Due to COVID-19 Alva's college will be not functional until 30 March, so the Association has planned this event. Where everyone will be staying in there home and will contribute.

Objective and Background edit

  • To increase the number of validated pages in Kannada Wikisource.

Contest Details edit

  • 15 March 2020 to 30 March 2020
  • Duration - 15 days
  • Projects: Kannada Wikisource

General rules edit

  • The competition will run for three months from the 15 days from 15 March to 30 March 2020
  • Edits made only during the Contest duration will be considered.
  • If a user proofread a page will get 2 points and validation will get 1 point.
  • If a page is modified by multiple users, the points will be split evenly among all.
  • If you save a page without modifying, no point will be given.
  • By bot or other automatic edits will not be accepted.
  • Contests is limited to page namespace only: transcription, validation, otherwise page identification (no text, no problem).
  • Everyone should respect the other user. If one person starts editing a book, the other contestant can edit the page by spacing 3-5 pages..
  • During this contest, it is recommended not to have a face to face meetup or 2-3 editors meeting together for contributing purpose

  •   First - Gift voucher of worth 1000/-and T-shirts, Wikisource sticker.
  •  Second - Gift voucher of worth 500/- and T-shirts, Wikisource sticker.
  •   Third - Gift voucher of worth 300/- and T-shirts, Wikisource sticker.
