| In your ideal world, what does the affiliate model and ecosystem look like? | Wikimedia uses a triangular system, each corner of the triangle has WMF Board, WMF staff and community. Affiliates is part of the community. WMF should take the help of affiliates in formulating policies and guidelines. Even though this is happening now, I feel more needs to be done. Affiliates should take leadership in guiding WMF and also help in formulating policies and guidelines. There should be regular meetings of affiliates and WMF board and WMF staff to discus various issues and arriving at consensus. Where needed, there should be a voting mechanism where WMF board and affiliates' representatives vote. | |
| In your ideal world, what are AffCom’s roles and responsibilities in relation to the movement and affiliates? | As explained above AfCom's role will be to see that these happens smoothly. AfCom also will be responsible for approving new affiliates. Where needed guiding and hand holding of newbie affiliate who may need help. | |
