  • What experience do you have participating on committees, within or outside the Wikimedia movement?
    I have worked as a stakeholder in my (Igbo Wikimedia User Group) also a member of Afrika Baraza production Committee.. I have worked in media house (Unizik FM Awka) I have served as legislator in my institution (Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Anambra state Nigeria). As a program manager I have facilitated trainings and hosted outreach programs. I was one of the Facilitators in a session Committee for LD4 linked data conference, was recognised by the Creative Commons project Organizers for my translation work in one of their projects.
  • What skills, experience, or perspective would you bring or contribute to the committee, if appointed?
    If appointed, As a public relations officer, I have strong and soft skills in organizational development, project management, volunteer management, and effective communication. My global perspective and experience working with many groups enable me to encourage inclusivity and contribute a broader range of perspectives to the committee. I am eager to participate and help Affiliate Committee achieve its objectives.
  • Is there any other pertinent information that you would like us to take into account when reviewing your application?
    I joined Wikimedia movement in 2021,my passion and zeal to contribute to open Knowledge platform is still active and am eager to learn more to add to my skills
  • Which sub-committee are you interested in working with (Conflict Intervention, Recognitions)?: Recognitions sub-committee
  • What do you think are the benefits and responsibilities of functioning as formal affiliates, and when is a group of Wikimedians ready to form an affiliate?
    The benefits of an affiliate is the;Access to the Wikimedia community's immense knowledge and resources. Increased legitimacy and reputation as a result of affiliation with a globally recognized organization. Opportunities for collaboration, networking, and knowledge sharing. Help in hosting free knowledge events, projects, and activities. Responsibilities;Adherence to Wikimedia's purpose and principles of open knowledge. Compliance with Wikimedia's policies, guidelines, and legal norms. Active participation and contribution to the Wikimedia community. Open communication and reporting on affiliate operations and outcomes. Wikimedia finances are managed responsibly and transparently. When a group of Wikimedians meets specific conditions and is prepared to take on the obligations associated with official affiliation, they may consider becoming an affiliate, such as a Wikimedia chapter or user group. Requirements;Sufficient membership, a clear objective and goals, activities and impact, legal and financial compliance, community support, sustainability, and adherence to Wikimedia ideals are all required.
  • Please describe your experience working with conflict resolution, and how you have helped build consensus and support diversity.
    Currently i am one of the founding member working towards the Wiki for minorities project (different countries to be involved)to be approved.I Am also eager to help and contribute my skills to conflict resolution.
