News on complementary policies or changes to the Foundational Text
- Following the recommendations of the Council, the Linguistic Commission has been dissolved. It has been replaced by the Central Commission of Languages and the Project Hubs
Tech news
- We have performed maintenance on the Delta server.
- The bouncer is a service that allows a 24/7 connection to IRC so you don't miss anything. Following the migration of freenode to libera.chat, this group now offers this service. You can read about it here.
Miscellaneous
- In order for the project hubs to function properly, we require that members of the community of each project that this project focuses on be able to join the hubs. Specifically, we are looking for members of the communities of: enwikivoyage, dewikivoyage and all projects in Spanish.

Wikivoyage Mobile App
I wrote this same article to Wikipedia:Village pump (idea lab) and Wikimedia forum page but I share my ideas one more time to here. Wikivoyage is one of the best projects of Wikimedia. In last days, I'm so concentrated to develop the new opened Turkish Wikivoyage page. And I think, an official mobile app for Wikivoyage is a good idea. It can be perfect for the travelers around the world. The people mostly use their smart phones during traveling. - In the past, I was in the "but people can get to Wikivoyage through their smartphone's browser", but I now see the value if having a Wikivoyage branded app. Nelson Ricardo (talk) 22:32, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
- not sure what your requirements on the app are, but there's already kiwix, and also apps like maps.me and OsmAnd allow browsing WV... Andree.sk (talk) 04:54, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- @UcuncuUlus: Which features or functions are you missing in the current browser versions of Wikivoyage that would necessitate an app (i.e. that can't be implemented in a browser)? ArticCynda (talk) 10:56, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
