WikiSP Newsletter of June 2021
News on complementary policies or changes to the Foundational Text
- To fulfill with the standards of the Affiliations Committee was modified the name of the group to Wikimedia Small Projects in Spanish. Was created a communiqué reflecting the change and the fact that the support to other linguistic communities will not be modified.
- We have a mailing list, you can suscribe here.
- Was proposed a change for the Linguistic Commission because of the peak in members. You can comment in Taberna (if you are Spanish speaker), Pub (if you are English speaker) or Lounge (if you are German speaker).
- On April 22 was approved SmallProjects, a research project that will allow us to fully understand the fate of small projects and the reasons why affiliates do not take them into account. It is the pilot of an ambitious project that will focus all projects in any language.
- We have reached twenty members! We hope to keep moving forward to reach the goal.

Dear All,
The 2021 Board of Trustees election is coming soon. Candidates from the community are needed to fill the available seats.
The Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees oversees the Wikimedia Foundation's operations. Community trustees and appointed trustees make up the Board of Trustees. Each trustee serves a three year term. The Wikimedia community has the opportunity to vote for community trustees.
Wikimedia contributors will vote to fill four seats on the Board in 2021. This is an opportunity to improve the representation, diversity, and expertise of the Board as a team.
