This project ran from July 2011 till July 2013. Its activities are being continued under the umbrella of WikiProject Open Access.

This Wikimedian in Residence project is meant to enhance the interactions between the Open Science and Open Access communities on the one hand and the Wikimedia community on the other.

To this end, WikiProject Open Access has now been started, and you are welcome to join in. You can also use a user box open access to signal your interest in OA matters, or put {{T:OAFD}} on your user page on the English Wikipedia, in order to automatically receive the Open Access File of the Day.
