Wikimedia Thailand/about

Wikimedia Thailand originated as Wikimedians in Thailand User Group, which has existed since 2008. We had serious discussions and plans on outreach activities after Wikimania 2011. The plan was slowed down by the great flood but we have regained our momentum again in 2013. We have successfully launched WLM-TH 2013 and secured some collaboration/support from various partners. We had grown significantly between 2013 and 2018 in terms of activities and people involved until we applied for recognition as a Wikimedia Chapter in January 2019. The WMF approved it in June 2019.
