The Wikimedia Summit 2024 took place on April 19-21, 2024 in Berlin. Wikimedia Deutschland hosted the event in close collaboration and with the financial support of the Wikimedia Foundation. The Wikimedia Summit is the place for Affiliates and the Wikimedia Foundation to come together to discuss and shape the future of the Wikimedia Movement.
The 2024 event was designed around two purposes:
- Bringing people together to make significant progress on the design of the future Wikimedia governance (including generating outputs on the Movement Charter (April 2024 version).
- Discussing the future of global affiliate gatherings, because Wikimedia Summit 2024 will be the last of its kind.
