Communications and group support
Связь и групповая поддержка
Викимедиа ЛГБТ+ использует следующие методы связи:
- Talk page —
Communications Committee
Wikimedia LGBT+ has several Committees, and a Wikimedia LGBT+ Communications Committee is establishing.
- The first Communications Committee meeting was on Monday, 31 August at 4:00pm GMT/UTC+0 (9:00am PT/12:00pm ET). Meeting information was announced on the <LGBT lists.wikimedia.org> mailing list and the User Group Telegram channel.
Безопасное пространство и этикет
Правила сайта распространяются на обсуждения в мета-страницах ЛГБТ+, см. Meta:Civilty. Нерелевантные темы могут быть удалены, если они не относятся к проектам пользовательской группы WM-LGBT+ или их улучшению.
All discussions off-wiki are maintained as supportive safe spaces for LGBTQ+ discussions about improving Wikimedia projects and making Wikimedia projects a more welcoming environment for contributors on LGBT+ topics and content. The Universal Code of Conduct applies to everyone taking part in our communications and discussions. Please ask in the channel or discussion if you would like to privately raise an incident with a channel administrator.
Participants in discussions have an expectation of privacy and anonymity which must be respected as part of maintaining a safe space. Discussions in private groups or personal messaging must have privacy respected apart from when there is agreement between parties otherwise, such as when working together on public projects. If in doubt, check first.
Non-English participation is welcome, and our discussions have significant international representation with many folx using English as a handy common language but not their own first language.
Language policy
We are trying to deprioritise English within the User Group, to encourage more users from a wider range of parts of the world.
While most of our communications are currently written in English, we should try to get them translated into our priority languages, chosen partly based on which Wikimedia projects' language editions have greater numbers of participants in their WikiProject LGBT+ projects and partly for languages that are widely used as second languages.
These priority languages are: Arabic, French, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Turkish. When we have the ability to do so, we should try also to cover Chinese, Hindi and Portuguese.
For Arabic, we prefer Modern Standard Arabic (fuṣḥā al-ʻAṣr, fu97a al-3a9r, فصحى العصر), for Chinese we prefer Standard Written Mandarin (báihuàwén, 白话文) in Simplified characters (jiǎnhuàzì, 简化字), for Hindi we prefer Modern Standard Hindi (Mānaka Hindī, मानक हिन्दी), for Serbo-Croatian we prefer Gaj's Latin alphabet (gajica, гајица).
