Gender Gap Strategy 2013 edit
A document-in-progress for anyone in the movement interested on working on addressing Wikimedia's gender gap. This meta-wiki page is being used to take stock of the current landscape, brainstorm ideas for the future, and formulate strategies for the coming year.
Working Paper on Gender Diversity in Wikipedia: edit
The working paper is part of the first phase of the project "Wikipedia diversity". This project is a cooperation between Wikimedia Deutschland and the Gender and Technology - Center of Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin. It brings together information from research and practice, summarizes the current state of research in German and English and takes exploratory interviews with editors of Wikipedia into account. The main focus of the working paper tries to understand the causes of low participation by women, the significance of this results for Wikipedia and how it can be counteracted.
