Inspiring video about Movement Strategy and what it means for the movement
In 2017, the Wikimedia Movement created a strategic direction to guide us into the future: By 2030, Wikimedia will become the essential infrastructure of the ecosystem of free knowledge, and anyone who shares our vision will be able to join us. Between 2018 and 2020, people from across our Movement came together in an open and participatory process to discuss how to work toward this. This resulted in 10 principles and recommendations for change. Now, Wikimedians are working together to implement these recommendations.
The Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy is an opportunity for everyone across our Movement to help shape how Wikimedia will look in 2030 and how we want our projects, our communities, and the free knowledge ecosystem to evolve.
