The session was mainly about giving the opportunity to ask questions to the FDC members and to get to know better the APG programme.

Katy Love, Senior FDC Officer, will message 3-4 organisations who have expressed interest and may be eligible to discuss the APG programme. Furthermore, the next step for the next funding cycle is sending the Letters of Intent on July 1 2015. Katy is interested in further conversations about the APG programme and FDC structure.

Are you a Wikimedia organisation who needs funding for an annual plan? Are you interested in learning more about the participatory grantmaking process by the Funds Dissemination Committee? Do you think you might be ready to transition from the PEG grant program into the APG program? Come find out whether this funding program might be right for you and what the grant program is like.

- Summary of the session
As the FDC members had held one of its meetings days before the Wikimedia Conference, they used the opportunity to organise a session at Conference itself. The intention was mainly to provide the opportunity to ask questions regarding the FDC.
Katy Love introduced the session, then each FDC member presented him/herself and who or what encouraged whom to become a member of the FDC. After that, the space was opened for questions.
Sydney said that she noticed that grant proposal are becoming better over the last years. However, as Delphine explains, the context of the organisation is an important point in deciding about the grant's amount saying that there are different expectations for each organisations. The FDC members are interested in seeing continuity, improvement or progress when organisations are not applying for the first time. Dumisani and Anne added that they would like to have clear proposals and giving as much examples as possible to avoid misunderstandings. Key points are clarity, continuity and context.
Someone asked the question how the FDC members would like to be shown and measured impact. Matanya answered by saying that it is possible to predict and expect impact for each project. Dumisani added that the FDC members are able to measure (as in evaluate) the proposals considering each organisation's history. Also, as he said, they may compare by looking at similar proposals and their impact.
One of the last questions was how the distribution of funds was bringing the movement forward. Dumisani replied by saying that the movement should find ways in which it's able to support the African people getting more connectivity. Furthermore, he said that funding needs to be as structured and planned as possible. Delphine added she thinking about the fact that volunteers need time, motivation and skills and sometimes money might replace on of these three things.
