It is a volunteer action, aiming to present all the Chapters if only possible, so your help here is necessary! This is why you are kindly asked to respond a batch of question.
About the ResearchEdit
My aim is to create “a map” of Wikimedia Movement and give the Chapters more attention. This action is a part of a restart of WCA agreed by its Members in London and Milan, invented to show us Chapters, editors, journalists and Wikimedia Foundation where we are, give the general picture and some benchmarks to think about a big diversity of Chapters.
Every response is important, no matter how big or small your Chapter is.
Certainly, we will not draw the final map after one survey. Please expect farther questions and even follow-up, hopefully better and better reports. However, someone needs to start this research already and please make sure that your Chapter is represented in the presentation!
My name is Michał Buczyński (user Aegis Maelstrom), in Real Life (TM) I am a vice-president of Wikimedia Poland and a WCA Council Member, as well as an economist with some experience with survey research.
You may find me on Polish Wikipedia, or simply writing me an e-mail to sandbox /at/ o2 dott pl. If you have any questions, suggestions and proposals – please do not wait and just contact me.
Survey for your ChapterEdit
For your comfort I prepared two versions of the survey, you can choose which to use.
Method 1 - MediaWikiEdit
You may answer on Meta! Please respond to the survey on a subpage dedicated to your Chapter.
Method 2 - Google SpreadsheetEdit
Per request version put into a Google Spreadsheet. Each Chapter answers in a separate worksheet. If you want to start one and it is still missing below, just copy one from a template and put here a link.
If you feel the data should not be published or MediaWiki and Google Spreadsheet are inconvenient for you, please contact me on my e-mail account. We will take the most convenient way for you, e.g. a spreadsheet on my e-mail.
Survey questions and discussionEdit
Template of the first survey can be seen here.
If you have any feedback regarding the survey or research, please share it on the talk page.
